Below are the explicit terms and conditions of sale for the online store world street.
The site www.ruadomundo.com is an online store of original products, inspired by the Portuguese cultural and architectural heritage. By placing an order on Rua do Mundo, you are agreeing and accepting the general conditions described.
PRICES
All products available in the Rua do Mundo online store have the sale price with VAT included at the legal rate in force in Portugal (23%) and excluding shipping costs. Shipping costs are calculated at check-out according to the country to which the items will be sent, regardless of whether one or more items have been ordered.
It reserves the right at any time to change the price of items or services and conditions of the online store or to carry out promotional campaigns.
The prices of Rua do Mundo items in the online store are guided by the PVP (Sale Price to the Public) that Rua do Mundo recommends. It may not correspond to the PVP of other shopping areas that sell the items world street, this possible difference is beyond our control and depends on the pricing policies of each commercial space.
ORDERS
To order one or more items, the customer must follow the usual process on online sales sites: use the buttons next to each item to add them to the shopping basket, change the quantities if you wish to purchase more than one unit of each article and check it out according to the instructions provided by the site.
The pieces shown in the store (website) are available for purchase, however they may be out of stock and this information is explicit. As soon as we have stock we will update their status and they will be available for purchase again.
There may be limited edition items or collections that will not be available again.
PAYMENT MODALITIES
Customers can choose between the following payment methods: Multibanco reference, MBWAY and Credit card.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payments by credit card, multibanco and MBway are processed by external billing systems (Shopify Payments and EuPago).
EXPEDITION
All orders are shipped through Correios de Portugal (CTT) by registered mail. After sending, you will be sent an email or via chat, the registration number of your order, and you can use the CTT Object Search service to check the status of your order.
Once payment for orders is received, they will be shipped within a maximum period of 6 working days. Shipments, via registered CTT or CTT Expresso, generally take 1 or 2 working days to be delivered in Portugal, however there may be delays at specific times, such as festive seasons or times of strike. We assume no responsibility for delays resulting from constraints on the part of Correios de Portugal. International Mail has longer delivery dates and depends on the destination country.
SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping costs are calculated depending on the country of destination and not on the weight or quantity of the items.
Therefore, if you order one or more items, the price will be the same.
- Orders from Portugal = 5€
- Orders for Countries in the European Union= 7€
- Orders outside the European Union = 15€
Orders with a total value (excluding shipping costs) above 50€ benefit from free shipping - available only for mainland Portugal.
National and international shipments are shipped in registered mailvia CTT
Rua do Mundo is not aware of the values of fees and taxes, which vary from country to country and, as such, is not responsible for their payment.
If for any reason the recipient refuses to deliver the order or does not collect it within the required time, the shipping costs or fees associated with the delivery will be charged to the customer.
The new shipment can be made by paying the shipping costs again. Regarding the delivery time, shipments made to the national territory usually take 1 business day to reach the destination. For international territory, it takes between 3-5 business days.
Rua do Mundo is not responsible for delays by the carrier, if you use it as an alternative to CTT.
LOST ORDERS
The customer is responsible for accompanying his order with the registration number provided and for picking up his order in a timely manner at the CTT station, if it is not delivered by hand by the postman. In the event that the order is returned to the sender, because it was not picked up in time at the CTT station, the reshipment will only be made upon repayment of the shipping costs.
EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
Any piece purchased in our online store can be exchanged or returned, as long as it is done within 15 working days after your purchase. The article must be accompanied by the invoice and not show signs of use.
Shipping costs (both returns and exchanges) will not be refunded. In either case, the cost of reshipping is the responsibility of the buyer. In the case of a return, the amount will be refunded within 72 hours of receipt of the item.
In an exchange situation, the value of the new shipment is the responsibility of the buyer. Exchanges must be made for equal or greater values.
If you wish to make a return, please let us know via email to ola@ruadomundo.com with your email address, purchase order number and bank details for the refund (account name and IBAN). We will respond shortly with instructions for returning the item.
If the item meets the necessary return requirements, the amount will be refunded within 72 working hours of receipt of the item. Transport costs are non-refundable.

OUT OF STOCK
Customers will be refunded the full amount of items that cannot be sent to them due to out of stock.

Rua do Mundo guarantees the confidentiality of all data provided by Users.
The personal data identified in the order form as being mandatory is essential for the provision of the Service. The omission or inaccuracy of the data provided by the User is their sole and entire responsibility and may give rise to refusal to provide the Service by Rua do Mundo.
Rua do Mundo gathers the data provided by its customers in a personal database and will not give them to third parties or use them for any purpose other than processing and sending orders. If they wish, customers may at any time exercise the right to access, change, update and delete their data, provided for in the Personal Data Protection Act.

The Rua do Mundo logo and brand are registered trademarks.
All the contents you find in this online store are the property of the Rua do Mundo brand and are protected by intellectual property law. Therefore, any copy, transfer or use of any content on this website is not authorized without prior contact and consent from Rua do Mundo.
